Eland Bay Super Tubes
Left- hand point break up the West Coast. Large swell and south to south east wind is offshore conditions. Coldwater all year round. The most perfect right hander in the country visited by surfers world wide. Situated in J Bay the surfing Mecca of South Africa and home to famous surfing brands such as Quiksilver and Billabong.
Muizenberg
The perfect beginner’s beach. Pure sand bottom and long endless rides. Surfable 360 days out of the year. North winds create ideal offshore conditions.
Dungeons
Right-hander of note. This is a wave for extreme surfers. The spot is featured on this site with fantastic photograph’s by Brenton Geach which describes it all!
Nahoon Reef
A classic right-hand reef break Sharky conditions warm water. Situated in East London on the East Coast this spot is home to a laid-back local crew and is an interesting location and line-up.
Kalk Bay
A shallow reef break sometimes compared to Pipeline in power. The wave is a solid barrel from start to finish and is situated on the False Bay coastline in Cape Town. Test your skills and your temper as the locals dominate both in numbers and in ability.
Stillbaai
A right hand point break of note. This wave is under estimated and can handle a large swell and produce some of the waves. Situated just outside Mossel Bay about 36 KM off the N2 about 295 km from Cape Town.
Victoria Bay
A right-hand point break situated up the South Coast about 380 km from Cape Town. An easy to ride wave with warm water and fantastic location.
Cave Rock
Durban’s right hand equivalent of Cape Town’s Kalk Bay. A potent hollow wave made for tube riding.
Seal Point
A very consistent right-hand point break ending on a beach. This spot is 3 km away from the famous Bruce’s Beauties a hand-hand point break which claims to be one of the longest rides in the world. This area is worth a visit!
New Pier
A fast hollow right-hander breaking of a pier on the beachfront in Durban. This wave is on of the finest beach breaks in the land and has spawned greats such as Shaun Thompson, Max Wetteland and many of the past and present top SA surfers.
